MORE ABOUT THE EVENT: Join Eleanor and Duncan for a discussion about recent developments in China tech, from the sudden overnight explosion in popularity of Xiaohongshu to DeepSeek's dramatic progress in large language models and Beijing's outreach to tech titans in an attempt to bolster the economy. After four years of bruised confidence following a regulatory crackdown and pandemic crisis, will 2025 be the year that things finally turn around for China's beleaguered tech sector? FT tech journalist Eleanor Olcott will be in discussion with her former mentor Duncan Clark. This promises to be a lively chat between an industry insider and a journalist sharing the latest gossip on the runners and riders in China tech and predicting what recent rapid developments mean for the rest of the world.
