MORE ABOUT THE EVENT: Paul Salopek walked out of Africa 10 years ago and has produced a half million words of stories trekking east towards the Americas — to his finish line in Tierra del Fuego. His project, the 'Out of Eden Walk,' is chronicling current events through the prism of deep history, along the pathways of the first humans who migrated out of the mother continent in the Stone Age. He is currently 6000 km into his project's 7500 km foot traverse of China, en route to the Heilongjiang bordering Russia. Paul is a National Geographic Explorer
