WHAT: RASBJ end-of-year gathering with a talk by Great Wall expert William Lindesay OBE, followed by dinner (in-person).

WHEN: Saturday, December 11, 2021. People will begin to gather at 6:30 PM Beijing time; the talk is from 7-8 PM, followed by dinner.

HOW MUCH: RMB 300 for RASBJ members, RMB 400 for non-members. This includes a buffet dinner plus two drinks. Places are limited to 40 to comply with anti-COVID regulations. All places will be allocated strictly in order of time of payment. Members plus 1 guest enjoy priority until December 4.

MORE ABOUT THE EVENT: Join RASBJ to give thanks as we near the end of a hugely successful 2021 – and look forward to a promising New Year! William Lindesay will give a keynote talk about William Geil (1865-1925), who explored the Great Wall more than a century ago and inspired Lindesay to follow in his footsteps. The talk will be followed by a buffet dinner catered by Xiao Susu Xidan, which is just downstairs.

    British author and TV personality William Lindesay, OBE is a top educator in Great Wall Studies. He’s written five books and curated eight exhibitions on the Great Wall. He’s been presenter and producer of NatGeo, Discovery Channel and BBC documentaries about it. He’s spent a total of 2,800 days on the Wall.
