MORE ABOUT THE EVENT: When Emmy Award-winning American filmmaker Bill Einreinhofer stepped off the plane in Beijing more than 30 years ago, he had no idea it was the first of dozens of visits he would make to China. He didn't realize he would spend much of his professional career making stories in and about China. He interviewed countless people about China, its culture, and its history. A number of them shared their personal stories with him. Sadly, many of those people are now gone. But their stories live on, through him and through his film. China: Frame by Frame premiered on public television stations in the U.S. in May 2023. Bill's goal in creating this film was to go beyond the "great powers in conflict" narrative that receives widespread news coverage in many parts of the world, instead looking at elements of Chinese history and culture that seldom attract media attention. The emphasis is on compelling personal stories.

HOW MUCH: Admission is RMB 100 for members and RMB 200 for non-members, which includes one welcome drink plus light nibbles.

REFUND POLICY: Attendees will be refunded in full if RASBJ cancels this event. Registrations for those who have not paid by July 14 will be cancelled. After July 14, if you registered/paid but discover you cannot attend, please email communications@rasbj.org to let us know; RASBJ will offer your spot to others and if someone takes your slot you'll be refunded.
