WHAT: An RASBJ online presentation: "The Amur River" by author Colin Thubron in conversation with Margherita Belgiojoso, followed by Q&A.

WHEN: Wednesday March 23, 2022 from 7:00-8:00 PM Beijing Time

MORE ABOUT THE EVENT: Renowned adventurer and travel writer Colin Thubron will share with us his experiences and observations from his journey along the full length of the Amur River.

The Amur river, the tenth longest in the world, rises in Mongolia and eventually, for over a thousand miles, forms the perilous border between Russia and China. It is a frontier that still simmers with the memory of unequal treaties and land-grabs. Harassed by arrest and injury, Colin Thubron travelled on both Russian and Chinese shores, following the river for almost three thousand miles to its end in the Pacific.
