ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Fongyee Walker MW (Master of Wine) is the co-founder, with Edward Ragg MW, of Dragon Phoenix Wine Consulting, Beijing's first and fully independent wine consulting and education service (est. 2007). She is mainland China's most qualified wine educator having passed her Master of Wine (MW) examinations, and has years of experience as a teacher. She is a leading Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Certified Educator, and has taught all over China, including the WSET's flagship qualification, the Level 4 Diploma in Wines & Spirits.



HOW MUCH: RMB 350 for RASBJ members, RMB 450 for non-members. Initial priority goes to members. The price includes tastings and canapรฉs. HOW TO JOIN THE EVENT: Please click "Register" or "I Will Attend" at least 48 hours before the event, and follow the instructions. After successful registration you will receive a confirmation email. If you appear not to have received it, please check your spam folder. If payment is not received 24 hours before an event, the correlating registration will be suspended.



REFUND POLICY: RASBJ will refund cancellations up to 48 hours before the event, or if RASBJ cancels or postpones the event.

    Fongyee Walker MW (Master of Wine) is the co-founder, with Edward Ragg MW, of Dragon Phoenix Wine Consulting, Beijing’s first and fully independent wine consulting and education service (est. 2007). She is mainland China’s most qualified wine educator having passed her Master of Wine (MW) examinations on top of years of experience as a teacher in a variety of areas. She is a leading Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Certified Educator teaching all over China, including the WSET’s flagship qualification, the Level 4 Diploma in Wines & Spirits.

    Having begun to study wine whilst at Cambridge reading for a Ph.D. in Classical Chinese, Walker was Captain of the Cambridge University Blind Wine Tasting Team and, in 2004, led the Cambridge team to victory as well as being awarded ‘Top Blind Taster’ in the Oxford-Cambridge wine tasting match.
    She is now a specialist wine educator and consultant (in English and Mandarin). Under her direction Dragon Phoenix has become mainland China’s most successful WSET provider by results – with classrooms in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing– and is the preeminent provider in China of the WSET Level 4 Diploma. Fongyee has also delivered special trade-targeted wine courses in Mandarin for such bodies as Wine Australia, the Hawke’s Bay Wine Association, the Napa Valley Vintners, Wines of South Africa and numerous other groups.
