PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: 1) either by subway take Line 2 and get off at Jishuitan station (Exit C东南口). Walk for about 1.1 km to the southeast. 2) or by bus: get off at Deshengmenxi(德胜门西)bus stop, then walk 12 minutes .

MORE ABOUT THE EVENT: In an elegant private venue with brilliant views of Houhai, Fongyee Walker, Master of Wine, will explore with you 6 wines from a variety of regions across China. Come and discover what makes Chinese wine unique, and how Chinese winemakers are constantly improving their quality year after year.

The global rise of China's wine industry over the past 20 years is as remarkable as other aspects of China's rise. In the last few years, Chinese wines have been picking up awards in competitions across the globe, with winemakers' emphasis shifting from quantity to quality.

MORE ABOUT THE HOST: Fongyee Walker is the co-founder, with Edward Ragg MW, of Dragon Phoenix Wine Consulting, China's premier wine consulting and education company. In addition to teaching wine classes all over China, she is the host of several TV programmes on wine and food and is currently shooting a full-length feature documentary on wine in China. In 2016, she became the first Master of Wine in China: there are just over 400 Masters of Wine in the world, with just 5 currently resident in China.

HOW MUCH: RMB 450 which includes wine and canapes. This event is strictly for Members only, with numbers limited to 20; places will be allocated in accordance with time of payment.
